Every other Saturday night - JACK QUINN'S ALEHOUSE & IRISH PUB
21 S. Tejon Street
Colorado Springs, CO
80903
Website: http://jackquinnspub.com/
Big Paddy plays an energetic, rowdy show here, usually to a shall we say lively crowd, every other Saturday
night from 9:30pm until 1am. As of this update, the next Saturday show at Quinn's will be April 18th,
2009. A warm and highly atmospheric pub, located in downtown Colorado Springs. All wood
panelling and warm golden lighting, there is a stage in the downstairs surrounded by wooden tables
that are just right for pounding, and it is here that the crimson banners on Big Paddy's speakers
stand tall. The food is good hearty Irish-inspired stuff, like Shepherd's Pie and Boxties,
and the Guinness and Jamesons and Glenlivet flow easily and often. The pub's webpage is here. Other fine Irish (and otherwise) musicians
play here as well, such as Ceol Céilí, Brian Clancy, Mountain Céilídh's traditional Irish session,
and Keltic Kerry O'Kee.
There are occasionally some Saturdays when Big Paddy skips the Saturday show at Jack Quinn's;
the best way to keep informed about this is to join the mailing list.

SCRUFFY MURPHY'S IRISH PUB
2030 Larimer Street
Denver, CO
Occasional Fridays or other days
(303) 291-6992
You may not expect to find the perfect little Irish pub in downtown Denver, but Scruffy Murphy's has what it takes -- dark weathered wood,
fine stout tables, friendly and talented staff, and bands like Big Paddy on the stage. Check back here periodically
for the next Scruffy Murphy's show -- or you could check out the MySpace Calendar here.
Scruffy Murphy's is just off Larimer, near 21st.
From their webpage: "...the perfect place to grab a pint or enjoy some
traditional Irish pub fare. With 16 draught beers, a cozy atmosphere and outgoing staff, Scruffy’s
is an authentic piece of the Emerald Isle right here in Denver."
The CELTIC HOUSE PUB
16522 Keystone Blvd
Parker, CO
Occasional Fridays
(303) 841-5454

for the next Celtic House show -- or you could check out the MySpace Calendar here.
The Pub is just off Lincoln, behind the Shell station and next to the DMV.
From their webpage: "Come in and enjoy our beautifully
decorated, authentic Irish pub. Our spectacular back bar was built in 1895 by the Brunswick Corporation.
Click on the pictures link to see the full story of its renovation. The Celtic House Pub is a friendly,
non-smoking neighborhood pub. The place to meet up with neighbors and friends.
So come on in, have a drink, a snack, and shoot a game of darts. We are looking forward to
seeing you soon!
FINNEGAN'S WAKE in Avon
82 E Beaver Creek Blvd.
Avon, CO
81620
(970) 748-4610
Big Paddy plays occasionally at Finnegan's Wake in Avon, and often plays a St.Paddy's Day show there.
Check back here or on the mailing-list for updated information on the next Finnegan's Wake show.
From the Vail Daily News: "Dark and rustic wood speaks volumes about the feel of Finnegan's Wake,
the new Irish Pub in Avon. It's almost like you can hear the history whispering in the background.
And unlike its European counterparts, this pub is open until 2 a.m., serving food until 1 a.m.
"To the left of the bar is the 'Victorian' side of the pub. Featuring high-backed chairs and proper
tables, this area is reminiscent of a Victorian parlor, complete with large rocking chairs. On
the right of the bar is the 'country' side, with a large stone fireplace and distressed wood used as
tabletops in the booths. This side of the bar displays a more rustic side of life in the British
Isles. Distressed wood was used in much of the downstairs bar, giving it true old-world flair.
Custom carving on the bar is almost overpowered by the neon-green backlit shamrock hiding the
kegs of Guinness and Smithwick's. Upstairs is another bar entirely. Isolated
from the more elaborate downstairs, the upstairs bar offers patrons a more relaxed atmosphere."
